What’s a subluxation, what causes them and how do you know if your dog has them
The Subluxation
Misalignment of one or more of the vertebrae in the spine. The subluxation will irritate or reduce nerve transmission as well as have a loss of motion, and flexibility. Altering nerve transmission is a big deal because the nervous system controls every cell in your dogs body
Causes
Both ends of the activity spectrum, couch potato dogs and high drive active athletes such as agility, dock jumping, hunting dogs need regular Chiropractic care. Other causes include:
Poor Quality Diet
Jumping from a tall height (a bed for medium and small dogs)
Exposure to chemicals/toxins
Leash Pulling
Tight Collar/Halter
GRAVITY
What To Look For
Signs of A Subluxation can range from
Excessive head shaking
Excessive licking/biting/scratching
change in behavior/isolation
lower end weakness
limping
no apparent outward change
